Key ++ doesn't have much to it's web site page so it doesn't say much other than what it does. It does what it does and it does it well. We really like this piece of surveillanceware. The reason is because it's just so easy to use.

After installing and loading it up, you'll see an interface which is pretty simple to understand. Buttons are at the top for viewing screen caps, hiding the program, exiting and others.

The setup is in the middle portion of the interface including hiding and start up options. Setting the password is also located here.

Below that is the email settings.

The email settings are there if you want to have remote reporting of what is happening on the computer.

You can time when the reports are sent. That's a pretty nifty feature we didn't see in other types of spyware. Instead of getting an email every time a screenshot was taken, we could have all the screenshots sent on the hour that were taken in that hour. Then the next hour, the next ones would be sent. Saved a lot of clicking.

The email settings can be done with SMTP if you know how to set that up. You should if you have an internet connection and an email address that comes with it. Though, if that's too difficult, a cool Gmail feature is included where all you have to do in input your Gmail email address and password then everything is taken care of. Your reports will go directly to that account so you can access it anywhere you have an internet connection.

The picture above shows the screencaps tool. Once you click the button at the top, the screencaps are shown right in the program. It starts at the very last screen shot taken and you can click the Next button to naturally see the next one.

It would have been nice to have a Previous button but you can Reset to start at the beginning again if need be. It works but starting all the way at the beginning if you click Next too quickly is a bit much. What if you have a day's worth of screenshots to go through?

But don't let that discourage you. It's only a minor thing. The time settings and screencap viewer are great and everything works well.

The other tool in Key Plus Plus is the keylogger. As with most of the programs we review, it works well and does the job. Keyloggers are pretty easy to make so this shouldn't surprise any of you. It logs everything that is typed into the program like it should.

You can review what has been typed and it's easy to read. It doesn't have an export tool though and a feature to only include letters and numbers captured would have been nice also.

But it works and along with the timed screencaps, we think this program's simplicity and efficiency is terrific. We took some points off because of no exporting of either the screencaps or key logs and along with no customization of how the keylogger displays it's captured text. Price was also a factor.

But honestly, if you want something simple, easy to use and powerful, this is it. It might not be ReconServer with it's keyword tool but we like it. A lot. Give it a try, we think you will too.
