As we stated in our opening comment, ReconServer has a unique feature that makes it a very powerful piece of surveillanceware.

The software allows you to log into the it's web based control panel, input trigger keywords and the program will take screen shots of the computer screen when any of those keywords have been inputted onto the keyboard or received in an email, instant message, appeared on a web site, or the like.

We haven't seen a feature such as this so if you have just one computer or a large computer network that needs only certain information captured while it's working, then this will be a big time saver for you as oppose to using just a timing device to take screen shots.

Of course, a required key logger is also included in the program so both of these capturing devices turn ReconServer into a powerful tool to capture all the information you need to protect or spy on an individual.

You can have ReconServer start when Windows starts and start it in invisible mode too. You can easily take it out of stealth mode when required.

It's password protected so no one can get access to it if someone somehow finds it when it is in stealth mode.

But another great feature is the ability to send these reports to your email address. There are two ways to do this. One is using your standard SMTP email settings you get when you set up an internet connection in your home or office. The second one, if you feel that the first choice is too difficult, is to use a normal Gmail account and have the reports sent to that address. All that is needed is your Gmail email address and password inputted into the settings. It's all very easy to set up in your the web site account.

The only negative we can think of is how you have to get use to the power of the keywords. You have to be careful about using very common words like you, him, meet, etc. These words will trigger constant screen shots and you will have a ton of screen shots to go through. Once you realize that you need better words to trigger screen shots that are only going to get the information you really need, then ReconServer will get only the information you're looking for.

As well, since a keylogger is included, you can review those logs and tweak your keywords. You'll soon find that using ReconServer will be a powerful ally in your surveillance.
